(It's Only Natural)Photos by Steve Osterberg

Thank you for visiting my site. Like many of you, the Sierra Nevada is a source of inspiration, awe and a great place to go when the soul needs a re-charge. Although I enjoy to be there with others, solo trips are the best. Then I can take my time and take pictures at will. With this site, I hope to bring to you, the viewer, scenes that made such and impression on me, I had to record them and share them with others. I invite your comments/suggestions and, as always, If you would like a shot of a certain area posted, let me know.
Thanks again for visiting......Steve Osterberg EMP
Equipment Used
I use three 35mm Cameras. These include a Nikon F90X, F100 and my trusty Olympus Stylus 120 point and shoot. I have recently included the Nikon D100 digital SLR and enjoy the results from it. Note...just sold the E-10...focus issues.

Many of the older images (Gardisky Mine included) were taken with a Minolta X-700 or XGM.

Mono Thanksgiving 2004

Driving home from Minden over Ice from Walker to Mammoth!  This stop made it worthwhile.

Photo Tip of the Season

Lose the filters

We all should be using Photoshop by now... Right?  Well I find that a raw image taken in 6 degrees can be easily processed on the ol'e Compaq at room temp with a glass of wine (or coffee, Shark or the libation of your choice)  Make sure the image is free of  refraction, well exposed and hit the damn button, secure the gear and get that jacket back on!<P>Just my two cents.... :)
